can growth hormones affect scoliosis?

I was just wondering if you have scoliosis, & you’d like to take humane growth hormones to grow taller. will it affect your scoliosis?

This is the first time I’ve heard this question. ^_^
I think its one for your doctor, though. If you’re done growing (naturally) then you’ve already gone through your growth spurt. The spurt is when teens with scoliosis have most of their curve increase.
If you’re a teen, I have no idea whether the growth hormone would magnify your growth spurt. If you’re an adult, I don’t know if the growth hormone would cause your curve to increase more than it would without it.

Scoliosis has to do with the improper position of vertebrae. You have muscles, ligaments and bones surrounding/attached to the misaligned vertebrae. If you artificially speed up growth, it will have many various affects on your body.
Human growth hormones have many, many, adverse side effects. Make sure you’ve read them all. Try going to the library and looking up your med in a recent 2008 PDA - Physicians Desk Reference
