on a restricted diet, no. but on a high protein diet, you’d gain muscle, which would make your weight look higher on the scale.
answer my question PLEASE?:

Probably not… because you’re burning calories hopefully…

If your drinking lots of water, which you should be, it’s probably just water weight

No you shouldnt be unless you are consuming mroe calories than you are burning, OR you weighed yourself after drinking loads of water. If you are drinking lots of water but are consuming lots of salt, even on a restricted diet, you will gain lots of extra "water weight" because you are retaining it more. Its not fat but bloating

Why would you gain weight whenever you start an exercise program?
If I were you, I would start out slow and eat like you normally would, and just start running.
Then after a few weeks slowly start making changes in your diet.
Otherwise you could burn out really fast and won’t stick with it.

Hi there! I’ve had problems with things like this too. When I started running, I did notice a weight gain of about 1.5 lbs for the first week. After research, I found that this is because I was gaining muscle before I was losing fat. So basically I was adding muscle on top of fat, before the fat was melting off. After three weeks, I had lost nine pounds after the 1.5 pound gain. So basically I lost 7.5 lbs of pure fat and gained 1.5 lbs of muscle in the first three weeks. Good luck!!

no. and from running for a while, the muscle u’d gain in ur legs is not much at all. not sure if ur trying to gain or lose, but if ur trying to lose, i’d stick with walking for burning fat. it burns fat better than running because running only burns the most recent fat you’ve eaten. walking target stored fat. i lost 20 lbs with weight watchers and walking routinely. i highly recommend both to anyone trying to lose some weight.
