Does goat’s milk or organic cow’s milk contain growth hormones?

Posted on | November 27, 2009 |

After watching these videos for the cover up on the drugs in our milk, I’m done buying the everyday milk for me and my children.

Do you know if goat’s milk or organic cow’s milk have these Monsanto rBGH growth hormones?

to get and maintain organic certification a dairy herd cannot be injected with any artificial hormones such as rBGH. So organic cow’s milk is free of artificial hormones such as rBGH.

goats have never been administered such as rBGH translates into recombinant bovine growth hormone and goats ain’t bovines.

Organic shouldn’t. But, I have to tell you that I worked for a major milk producer in the northeast. Our lab technicians tested every load of milk received from the farms and turned away any that had growth hormones in them. Not every producer neglects their duty when it comes to the growth hormones. I can only assume that doesn’t happen everywhere.

Not likely but its sure possible. Anyone might be trying to fly under the radar with their livestock.

yes, along with most meats, eggs and ingredients added to most processed foods.

a reality check.. most "organic" is just regular product with an organic label on it.

    sorry.

    Wow strong paranoia
what little faith in the government and the dairy industry

Why would they allow that nonsense today with so many inspections and testing.
SO how do you and your friends test for (rBGH)?? (bovine growth hormone??) do you know how expensive that is and all the legal requirement to get permits to use it ??
    HOW SILLY

It is just not logical today
    EDIT
Last week some one posted information on the dairy cows and I assume Goats as well as the veternaria treats the animals with vaccines or drugs they quartine for 90 days and the individuals and their milk is restriced

There is no test for the synthetic hormone that some farmers use on their cows.
Farmers sign an affidavit promising not to use it, but I have seen farmers use it even when their product was claiming to be rbst free.
This also means that the synthetic hormone does not transfer into the
milk, so it will not harm your children..

Goats are not treated with rGBH .

The best milk is clean, fresh, raw goats milk.
