How long does a sever case of Strep throat take to heal? I have been very sick since Sat?

I have already been to the doctor, and recieved both pinicillian of some sort and a steriod shot. When will I be able to go back to work,cause I still feel lousy.

It really all depends on how sever the infection was and whether your are giving your body enough rest, etc.
From personal experience (I’ve had strep three times), it usually takes about 5 days after taking the medication to notice any real change in the way I feel. The one time I had Strep-B, I was out sick for about two weeks because I just didn’t have the energy to do anything and my throat was just causing way too much pain. They will usually only give you about 10 days worth of antiobiotics, so if you aren’t feeling well after about day 6 or 7, consider going back to the doctor. (And even if you feel better, finish the prescription!)
