I took my male cat to vet for swelling in the mouth, and they gave him steriod injection,?

and 2 days later he is acting like he is in pain, and cant move very fast and acts like his private area is hurting as well he is also laying in litter box and not eating much any one have any idea what is going on with him and if i should be worried? what are side affects of steriod injection in cats?
I took him back to vet, and dr said he couldnt pee and gave him catheter plus some antibiotics and special food. He is acting better but if he doesnt go bathroom have to rush him back. the vet said its like havin suger tea n havin it sit over time suger goes to bottom and thats whats going on with him now, but didnt say the steriod injection caused this, vet said may of been why his mouth swelled to begin with bacteria n things in his blatter building up. so thanks to all that gave me great advice..

Take him back to the vets this may be a reaction to the injection or a further complication linked with the lump or something totally different. I have a cat on steroids due to illness and he had to have various tests before they would give him the meds as they can cause kidney problems.

go to another vet. tell them what happened. your cat is your responsibility and you have to get him the care he needs. second opinions are good to get.
