Steriod Probe, Huge Waste of Money?

Posted on | January 24, 2010 |

War in Iraq, Mortgage Issues, Immigration, Major Economic Deficit yet the government is spending millions of dollars to find out if some athlete used steriods 5-10 years ago. I hope one of the presidential candidates shows up and critizes the government for spending money on something thats absolutely no benefit for the american people. This is just one, very public, example of the government wasting time, money and resources on an issue that is completely worthless.

We have watched our athletes get bigger, stronger and faster and then all of a sudden we are "shocked" that they have taken steroids. Talk about having blinders on. Now we are running around like chickens with our heads cut off, trying to make sports all nice and neat and tidy again. If you asked any kid on the street about steroid use they could have told you that these athletes were abusing these types of drugs. How is doing anything now going to do anything BUT waste money.

I’ve read the Constitution, and in particular the Tenth Amendment. This entire probe violates the Constitution, the way I read it.

Let the sports leagues Impose strict rules for the future, and ban players who violate those rules.

But forget about the past, there’s nothing you can do about it. And tarnishing the names of great players does nothing but damage to the sports.
