WWE Superstars Suspended Over Steriod Use!?

Posted on | November 27, 2009 |

This morning while on my way to work, I hear on the Radio, ten WWE superstars were suspended thirty days for steriod and or other drug use. A WWE spokesman said the WWE tests all its wrestlers four times a year.

The WWE would not say who the ten superstars are, but I hear some of the wrestlers are well know.

1. Does anyone know who these suspended wrestlers are?
2. What are your thoughts?

    -Fourteen wrestlers tied to pipeline-

For those of you who are not the best at connecting dots, I will do it for you. These 14 suspensions explain all the weird and odd match endings at SummerSlam. Here is the list of who was suspended again, and I will do some more explaining.

    Mike "Simon Dean" Bucci
    Gregory Helms
    Edge
    Charlie Haas
    Santino Marella
    William Regal
    King Booker
    Chavo Guerrero
    John Morrison
    Mr. Kennedy
    Randy Orton
    Funkai
    Chris Master
    and Batista

So, as I was saying, this all makes perfect sense. Although reading this list at first your jaw may be dropped so low it is now resting in your lap, trust me, this makes sense.

Let’s start at the top. The top 3 don’t really matter, Simon Dean, Gregory Helms, and Edge, because they are not currently wrestling. While Charlie Haas is somewhat irrelevant, and the Santino, Maria, and Ron Simmons angle was completely worked out of RAW last Monday.

William Regal is a little harder to explain, but he wasn’t involved in any feuds so he will slip out nicely. King Booker’s angle with Triple H wasn’t continued, so he’ll slip out easily too.

Now, I don’t want to give away to much from the Smackdown Spoilers I read, but I will say Chavo wasn’t in the show. So Chavo too, slips out nicely.

John Morrison is by far the toughest to explain. I think the fact that he kept the ECW title means that these suspensions are short. Also, ECW doesn’t need him on TV. He could have shot some promos last Tuesday, and they could just air them in these coming weeks. So they don’t really need him there.

Mr. Kennedy makes sense too. This may be why he didn’t win the IC Championship like many were expecting. Same goes for Randy Orton only with the WWE Title.

Funkai is irrelevant, and so is Chris Masters, for the most part. I will say that from the spoilers I read, his new angle could involve him being gone for a few weeks.

Finally Batista. (Again, trying not to tell to much about Smackdown) All I will say is that the feud with The Great Khali isn’t going to continue.

    See? Perfect sense.

They included the steroids nandrolone and testosterone, growth hormones genotropin and somatropin and anastrozole, which is used to counter physical side-effects of steroid use like ‘man-boobs’.

Sports Illustrated - whose investigations led to police raiding the ‘anti-ageing’ company selling the drugs - have now listed what each star was taking in the period up to the bust in February 2007.

The WWE’s Wellness Policy, aimed at stamping out such use, was introduced in February 2006. Anyone caught buying drugs over the Internet after that date faces suspension.

Through WWE spokesman Gary Davis, the applicable WWE wrestlers listed above declined comment.

In the wake of Eddie Guerrero’s steroid-related death, the WWE instituted a "Talent Wellness Program" in February 2006. The policy "prohibits the use of performance-enhancing drugs, as well as other prescription drugs which can be abused, if taken for other than a legitimate medical purpose pursuant to a valid prescription from a licensed and treating physician. For purposes of WWE’s policy, prescriptions obtained over the Internet and/or from suppliers of prescription drugs from the Internet are not considered to have been given for a legitimate medical purpose."

Under the Talent Wellness Program, an initial positive test triggers to a 30-day suspension and a second positive leads to a 60-day suspension. A third positive yields a termination.

After Benoit’s death, Representative Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) contacted the WWE requesting more information on the Talent Wellness Program. In addition to the rash of recent wrestler deaths, Congress has expressed concerned that the WWE counts more than more 500,000 kids among its weekly viewership.

Pretending not to Understand is Folly, as of November First all new Suspensions will be Disclosed to the Press and Fans. The Ten’ Suspended Wrestlers, were all Receiving On-line Steroids, a FELONY. Choice is Disclose or Face Charges. WWE Reports more Suspensions will follow before November, First Time 30 Day’s, Second Time 60 Day’s, Third Time Fired.

Also; Pro Sports Athlete’s, Fireman and Police Officers, will Receive Suspensions if Linked, with Choice of Disclose or Face Charges.

Are we to Assume that some People Wish that Chris Benoit would have Flushed his Steroids. I bet the genetic jackhammer Wishes he never Hired Him.

Vince McMahon is History, Unforgiven, before Years End, his Family and the Media Understand, not to Suspend directs Felonious activity to the Top, WWE was Dumb to Trade on the Stock Market, not a Real Sport became Mute. Vince can only Attempt to keep the Worldwide Wrestling Industry, and its Library. The McMahon Family Allocated Felonious Abuse, Trial in the 90’s Mandated Steroid Testing. Expect to watch Game Shows.

Wrestlers will no longer be as Pumped Up, the Sport will Live-on as Entertainment / Sport. with a Guild/Union of sorts.
    Hopefully!
    Hogan; Rename’s and Reform’s RAW!
Brett Hart; Rename’s and Reform’s SMACKDOWN!
?Flair?; Rename’s and Reform’s ECW! Please; not Ted Turner, but do Expect him!
    Individually Seperated with Talent Trading {Drafts!}

For the Rest of this Year Wrestling will Suck, Look to the Long Term Effects. Bigger and Better things will always Result.
